Promotional Mail

 

When most people think of advertising and marketing, they think primarily of its use as a tool to attract new customers. An equally important aspect of marketing is to keep your existing customers informed of special events such as promotions and sales, encouraging their return to the store.

The Promotional Mailer is designed to provide you with the tools you need to keep your customers informed about what is going on in your web store. It can be used to send an email to any or all of the customers who have signed up for your web’s mailing list, and it is also an excellent way to send a periodical newsletter or to announce sales or promotions.

Follow the instructions below to send an email using the Promotional Mailer
  1. Open your web store’s Merchant Tools in your browser. Under Sales and Promotions, click the link for Promotional Mail.

  3. In the Start Date and End Date fields, enter a date range in MM/DD/YY format to select the customers you would like to send your promotional mail to. The mail will be sent to all customers who have made a purchase in the web or signed up for the mailing list during the specified date range. If you prefer, you can further specify which customers are emailed by entering a Product ID. When a Product ID is entered, only customers who have purchased that product will be emailed.

  5. In the From field, enter the email address you would like any replies to your promotional mail to go to.

  7. In the Subject field, enter the text you would like to have appear as the subject for this promotional mail.

  9. Compose the body of your message in the Mail Message field. After you’ve composed your email, click on the Submit button to send the promotional mail.
You can also use the Promotional Mailer to remove customers from your web store’s mailing list. Follow the instructions below to learn more.
  1. Open your web store’s Merchant Tools in your browser. Under Sales and Promotions, click the link for Promotional Mail.

  3. At the bottom of the page, there is a section labeled Customer Removal. In the E-Mail Address(es) field under this section, enter the email addresses you wish to remove from your mailing list, separated by commas.

  5. Click Submit to remove these email addresses from the mailing list.
